I have been testing out different ad networks past couple of weeks. I’m testing out Chitika because they pay by user’s clicks similar to Google Adsense and from their FAQ; you are allowed to place ads on the same page as Adsense.
After browsing through, I found that Chitika is far advanced than AuctionAds and WidgetBucks. I also played around with creating eMiniMalls, shop cloud, and ShopLinc. ShopLinc allows you to create a stand-alone page with your own Chitika ads. It’s like they are creating a product landing page for you in an instant! What I really like about Chitika is that you can specify what keywords to display to show LASER POINTED ADS! e.g., “Ipods” will show only ipod ads.

You can check out Chitika Catalogue where they list various categories and keywords to show relevant ads on your site. After reading other blogs talking about “highest paying Chitika keywords”, I found out that most are related to technology products like: computers, laptop, TV, iPods etc. While people with Google Adsense, highest paying keywords are: lawyers, mesothelioma, mortgages, credit etc.

From my experience is that cost per click ads are not all about “highest paying keywords” It is about showing relevant ads to your website visitors. You are not going to see many clicks with high paying keywords on a website that is totally irrelevant and poorly ad placed locations.
