WOW! How come I didn’t think of this idea? I’m really glad to hear that the Rubicon Project has secured $6 million in funding to get an idea like this launch to public very soon.

After watching the 3 minute demo video, I’m thinking this will revolutionize the affiliate marketing industry. I’m really looking forward to it and can’t wait to test this out myself. You can sign up for beta invitation but looks like they are overwhelmed with responses since everyone in the affiliate marketing want to try this as well. I hope that they do have high requirements for acceptance since lately we’ve seen projects at this scale overwhelmed by cheaters and downtime of their services.

The Rubicon Project is basically one stop location to manage all of your ad publisher networks: Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher Network, Azoogle, Clickbooth, Commission Junction, Adbrite, and 300+ networks. I would love to manage all of my publisher’s ad networks with just one account.

They use “Smart Matching” technology similar to Adsense showing relevant ads on your pages. But this goes in depth by selecting demographics and geographic to optimize what kind of ads are displayed. I like this feature very much since websites receive traffic from all over the world but your ads are U.S. based. This feature will show ads relevant to geographic locations: UK visitor will see UK specific dating banners (Mate 1 UK ads). Ringtone ads will be relevant to country specific visitors (Dada Mobile Germany, Australia, Spain ads) etc… you get my point. If this thing works, it will be very helpful promoting CPA/CPL offers on your website and get you higher conversions since you are displaying country specific ads to match your visitors country origin.

Occasionally you check stats and see some clicks on “Free Lotto” or “Smiley International” offers but you weren’t promoting them right? It’s because some international visitor clicked on your ads that was only accepting U.S. conversions, so they got redirected to some other offer that was accepting international traffic.

Who doesn’t want to make money right? Rubicon Project motto: “Make more money, do less work.” Sweet! This system is awesome, beyond awesome. Literally, you’re using one Rubicon Project account to manage all of your ad networks. You can even opt into managing all the revenue generated from networks you are affiliated with into one single Rubicon payment.

I think this sounds nice. You don’t have to wait for all of your affiliate checks - just one deposit from Rubicon Project. For me - I get a few checks a month, all coming at different times. I’m still not sure if I’d want to take that daily trip from the mailbox to the bank away from myself. If the system gets rave reviews(I think I’d accept 6 months of praise from users as proof) I’ll give their payment system a try.
